mini disk player problems?

So does the mini disk player have the same problems as the CD player? I've managed to source some mini disks put one in and it won't play, and I'm needing to fiddle with it to get it to eject!
Any tips on getting it to work or are they just poor quality like the CD players?

You have a minidisc player?? I would kill for a (working) MD player in my XC90!!

Got one in my 2003 XC90 but no minidiscs or anyway of recording any....

I've got one as we'll, where do you get the discs from and can you still get a recorder.

Yep they seem plentiful and cheap on e-bay. I think the format was officially retired last year.

Got one in my xc90 and it works brill. bought a cheap MD player/recorder off ebay £12 came with loads of discs. erased them and put my own tunes on and off ya go.
You can still buy the blank MD's and they are easier to store too. Quality sounds very good with the premium sound system . Shame they weren't as popular as CD's

I have 2 fullsise mini disk recorders that I don't use any more they are both Sony one black and one silver.

Now I know about them I noticed there's one or two on t'eBay. Does anyone know if they're just plug and play with the newer models ie mine? I have quite a few MDs/HiMDs and the rather lovely Sony MZ-RH1.

I too, have a minidisc in my XC90. But I have no discs or recording devices. the only trouble with mine is the screen doesn't work. Not overly annoying really, just exciting on the rare occasion it does work!

I bought a mini disc Walkman for £25 on flea bay and recorded a few tunes and wow the sound is great, which is a relief as the 6 disc player in my 2003 xc90 died the usual death of chewing up the changer mechanism and apart from Marcel in Ipswich nobody will look at a repair that doesnt require a remortgage.
There is a working version of sonicstage and the latest drivers for net md readily available, I found them as a link on a mini disc tutorial on you tube.
