Cheers Dave

I've got the lead and software I need. I'm installing a switch on the ecu to place it into boot mode, this weekend.

Then the fun begins!

Appreciate your help.

don't forget you want the switch on about 3meters of wire, as you have to have it set in boot mode when you turn the car on then after 2-5seconds you will then switch the ecu then it will let you read/write
with mpps,

Hi when you fitted the 185 , 7 hole injectors did they have the same number coding as your old ones or did you recode them in vida,

NOTE: When replacing injector(s) the ECM and Volvo's database must be updated. This takes place by
means of a function in VIDA. If this is not carried out, then performance, fuel consumption and
emissions are affected amongst other things!

Hi, I was just wondering if you could give me some guidance on how to swap the 185 in tank pump into my 163? You mention that it runs all of the time so how were you able to wire it up so?

Thank you

Sorry, Dave. I think I could be confusing the in tank pump with the high pressure pump in the engine bay. Are you saying the engine located fuel pump needs to be changed to run constantly or is it the 185 in tank pump you are referring to? My V70 163 is a euro 4 so not sure exactly what fuel system it has, but from what I understand it’s inferior to the 185’s.

the amount of fuel delivered to the injectors is governed by the fuel pressure regulator any excess is returned to the tank
