Default Steering

Hi all.
Can someone please tell me if the inner tie rods are replaceable separately (the part between the steering rack and the tie rod end)?

It's on a 2008 v50 2.0d if that's relevant.

Clan. I appreciate your response, but I don't understand:
31201817.......unless that's a part number and you're expecting me to be mildly intelligent 😂

Yes anything starting with a '3' is a Volvo part number.

And yes I've had mine replaced a few years back, they require a weird spanner if I remember to unscrew them - 35mm rings a bell but can't be certain there.

Tracking needs adjusting once fitted I think.

Google 'inner tie rod tool' and you'll see what I mean, you'll probably only use it once so might be cheaper to get a garage to fit them?

Thanks Welton. That's good to know👍

Yeah, I'm aware of the alignment....that's sort of how I got here......
I needed new driveshaft(s) and bottom arms - asked my regular mechanic to do both on both sides plus tie rod ends and anti roll droplinks.
Cost about 650 I think - instantly I felt the alignment was out ( even though mechanic said it should be fine) so I got it properly 3d laser checked. All 4 corners miles out. They fixed the back but couldn't to the front cos the tie rod ends were seized solid.......my trusted mechanic had screwed me over - neither tie rods, nor droplinks were changed. Grrrrrrrr!!
So now I'll be looking for a new spannerman.
