I have an Autel Maxiscan with 1.08 soft for volvo. Also have a Torque app for ma android with bluetooth adaptor for volvo and both readers are great. With Torque I cannot service a rear EPB but maxiscan doing it without hasitation. Hope that helps a bit.

I have an ELM327 bluetooth off ebay and like Lukas I use Torque also. Not tried it on our 11MY V70, but worked a treat on my brother's 02MY V70.

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated!

I've ordered this off amazon...

Looks good, and some good reviews. Hopefully it'll turn up in the next few days. I've also purchased Torque Pro for my Huawei P6 droid phone. I'll let you know how it goes

That will be fine for engine related codes and data but it won't cover sub systems such as SRS, ABS etc, for these other sub systems you really Vida software running on a laptop/ PC connected to the car by the DiCE interface which can be found online at auction sites as Chinese clones for just under £100 - Mike

Thanks Mike.

That's on my to-do list. At the minute, I use my corporate laptop for personal stuff too, so I don't have a spare machine to install my copy of Vida on... do you have any recommendations on the "clones" that you could PM me?
