Anyone used EGR blanking on V40 D3? (2012)

Newbie here! I get a lot of SOOT FILTER FULL messages due to the short trips, has anyone used a blanking plate on the EGR?

does the 5 pot D3 engine appear in any other models?

You bought the wrong car mate. EGR blanking will not help you! If you only do short trips, buy a petrol engined car!

So what if he bought a diesel and does short trips, we no nothing of his driving habits to really pass comment.
