  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I first tried to make repair pieces but the compound curves were too difficult to make so I welded in new strips of metal then ground it to shape, then welded in strips at right angles and repeated to get the 'step' if that makes any sense. Didn't end up having to use too much filler, just a skim really. I would have liked to use the factory panel but it's no longer available.

How bad is the rust on yours? If it localised, the techniques I used might help. This page of my thread shows the rear screen surround (similar process). The front one is later on if you scan through the pages
