Hi all, I noticed whilst cleaning my xc90 that the pipe work and aircon radiator fins have been damaged. Is there a grill to fit into this area?

I have never seen one but you could make one up from one of the universal kits. To be honest a grill wouldn’t stop much from getting to the intercooler (it’s the first in the sandwich of 3).

Ah right thanks for that, I was concerned a grill was missing. It seems a bit open to the environment though, I might put something there to prevent further damage.

Is the XC90 different to other P2 which are from front to back, ac, ic, coolant radiator?

Yup.

That if my triple sandwich!

The condenser is very exposed but seems to survive. Mine did for 16 years..

Oops that what I meant. They are like that so that there is less chance of the rad getting damaged, which would be much more catastrophic than the Evaporator of the AC.

Hi Owen

I think it is a condenser on the outside. The evaporator is the bit that gets cold, inside the a/c, (in most cases!).

Cheers.
