WOW the only cars i'm used to seeing in that state in a field or wood are from the 50's and 60's .
There was a White Ford Cortina Mk 2 in the woods near me back in 1983 it was just a bodyshell but in one piece , Since then I have watched it deteriorating and today it is now level with the Earth . Not far away is a 1950's Jaguar less engine and gearbox , there is still some left but the roof has fallen off . next to it are the remains of a late 60's Bond 875 3 wheeler .... which was accident damaged..

Some environments are likely to rot cars more quickly than others -- preservation is more likely in dry, salt-free, less polluted conditions. It's interesting that in snowy New England USA these old dead Volvo bodies have held up well: https://olddeadvolvos.wordpress.com/dead-pics/
Maybe being frozen all winter actually helps with preservation?

I think you should post it up in the 200 Series Sales forum as a a 'field find' with some restoration work required.

The second one is definitely HIllman Avenger, looks to be the smaller manifold suggesting the 150CD Stromberg so narrows it down to the 1500 model (there's a restriction just inside the inlet manifold that i don't believe is used on the 1600 single carb with the 175CD) and i suspect the bright trim is from either the Avenger or possibly the rear window trim from a Volvo 242.
Too many possibilities to guess at on the Volvo bits other than a 240 of some description, an earlier one at a guess.
