Default High Mileage stats on my Volvo V70

As my 2004 V70 D5 has recently passed another MOT, I thought I'd have a look at some interesting stats for it based on the mileage:

Total Mileage to date (as of 13/05/2021):

433,800

Total MOT passes:
15

Total MOT failures:
10

Total failure items:
30

Total advisory items (excluding duplicates from retests):
46

Most amount of miles between consecutive MOT PASSES:
82,812 (July 2008 and July 2009)

Most amount of miles between MOT tests:
89,803 (July 2009 to July 2010)

Current average MPG shown:
40.1 mpg mostly town driving.

Current known issues with car:
Couple speakers not working
Engine cuts out sometimes
Needs brake pedal position sensor
Brakes could do with bleeding.

At it's peak useage (between July 2008 and July 2012) the car was averaging 83,257 per year, with specific yearly totals of:

82,812 between July 2008 and July 2009
89,803 between July 2009 and July 2010
85,442 between July 2010 and July 2011
74,973 between July 2011 and July 2012

Body condition:
The bodywork of the car is perhaps the best part of this car (alloys not so much). The paintwork quality in my opinion is exceptional and (when clean) would pass for a 100,000 mile car. Pulled off a front strut and had a look at the underside of the strut tower, and all in solid shape.

Must say I'm very impressed by this car.

I'd heard he'd sadly passed away, but not sure what happened to his car!

Do you mind saying what you were doing to accumulate those miles ?

Just curious.

Do you know the code for the brake position sensor? I bought the wrong one for mine, so I might have one you can have cheap.

I didnt actually put those miles on it, a previous owner from way back did. I bought it at the beginning of lockdown last year with the seller advertising it as as 'spares' but still had 13 months MOT on it. And has now passed another MOT (needed a headlight adjuster (old one was corroded due to water ingress through incorrectly fitted indicator bulb holder!) and also needed control arm bushings.

I can only assume the vehicle was used as a taxi during those four 'peak' years of extremely high annual milege, but even so that 90k in 1 year is closer to long distance trucker mileage so I guess it must have been driven across Europe.

Wonder if the former owner is/was a member here...

Great car and in good hands 👍. Is it manual or auto?
Thanks
Matt
