Default Door Mirror glass question

Car is a 2005 XC70

I broke my nearside door mirror glass. Looking at the part it's the Aspheric heated mirror with 3001-625 stamped on the back plate. It also has 'LH' and 'RH' stamped on it, so I'm thinking the glass is not handed - is this assumption correct?

Also, I can see on fleabay that the early XC90's have the same part no 3001-625, so I assume one would fit my XC70?

ps - Mirrors are power fold with puddle lights (no indicators)

Never used them, but worth a look. (No pun intended)

My car's an earlier S80 than your V70 but when I purchased it a couple of wks ago it had a stick-on passenger-side mirror and I purchased a pattern replacement from these guys.

Once I'd worked out how to remove the backing panel it fitted perfectly.

They probably have a glass that'll fit your model

Update: I bought a XC90 complete mirror from eBay - it looked the same as the mirror on my XC70 and since there were no others available at a reasonable price, it seemed like it would be worth a gamble

I can confirm that the XC90 mirror glass is the same part as my XC70.... Visually it looked as if I'd be able to use the complete mirror assembly - Power fold, puddle lights and memory - it all worked ok so I reckoned I'd be able to do a straight swap. However, the triangular piece that bolts to the door is a slightly different shape and would not fit, so I replaced the glass and swapped over the inner and outer covers - which were damaged on my XC70 mirror. It was an easy job to replace the covers and glass - altogether a satisfying job done.
