Default Heads up for S / V70 owners.

Recently I experienced my horns going off for no apparent reason while I was driving, I suspected a sticking relay as the horn `note` was intermittant like a connection was not being made cleanly and arcing was taking place.
After some close inspection of the wiring I found that the two leads that go off to each horn in front of the radiator are sheathed in some split corrogated plastic loom wrap.
One of the two wires that should have been protected by the split wrap had managed to break free and had rubbed against the bonnet catch, over time wearing through it`s insulation and completing the circuit as it bridged to earth.
It was really embarrassing pulling into a supermarket car park with my horn sounding like I was intentionally manipulating the horn button, I had to jump out and disconnect the plugs at each horn while little old ladies with tartan shopping trollies gave me the stare treatment!
So folks, if YOU experience anything similar check out those wires.
