  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Smile battery problems...

Hi guys wondering if anyone could help me here

Ive not started the car for two days go and start her today and the battery is totaly dead even the CL was not working, I dont offen drive the car alot once to tiwce aweek and its short trips but she does get a good run out once a month (some times more if shes lucky)

but is there any thing that would casue the battery to drain that quickly ?? or is the alt on the way out ??

Ive got a tester to check the thing once its back up and charged but thought i would quizz you chaps here first thanks for any adivce/help

The light in the boot is always the first port of call. My last one had a fault with the tailgate switch that I fixed using a guide kindly published in here somewhere....do a search for it and you will see.
An easy fix too.

Alternatively turn the light off by default using the "roller" switch in the boot roof (if yours is an estate), as a temp measure.
