Default Volvo XC90 2.5T LPG converted for sale

For Sale

Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD LPG Converted
Reg No MA05 YRD
5 speed auto (with winter mode)
Mileage 156000 miles only done 10000 miles in the last 8 years
MOT 21/05/2024
Lower Vehicle Excise Licence

Roof rails
No sunroof
6 x cd player FM/AM radio (Not Working)

Rear parking sensors (not Working)

Brake discs replaced a couple of years ago. Rear brake pads and shoes recently replaced.
I have owned the car since 2011. I bought it from a garage in Stockport, it had one owner virtually from new. The previous owner before me was a doctor. The car had full history but it never materialised in paper form. The mileage was 100000 miles when I bought it.
On buying the car and before I started using it I had the Cambelt replaced, full service and also the LPG fitted. The tank is in the spare wheel well. The LPG filler is on the tow bar allowing filling from either side.
The only fault on the car that it had on purchase was/is Anti-skid requires service. This is a common fault on Volvo, it is basically the steering position sensor on the indicator ring that has the fault but it makes no difference to the running of the car. I have never had it repaired but a second hand part is anything between £40 and £150 its not difficult to fit just need to take the steering wheel off.
Over the years it has had usual servicing, nothing major wrong with the car.
Things that I have noticed are it has a water leak somewhere needs topping up every now and again say once a month about ½ litre of water. (low water comes up on the info display so no need to keep checking) There is no water in the oil or exhaust so no head gasket issue. I took it to a garage last year, it was pressure tested but no issue, no leak found but it does lose the water. I have replaced the water cap on the pressurised container and this seems to have stopped it but as I havnt driven the car any distance cant really say if its successful.
I recently put a new thermostat and housing on the car at the same time as a new alternator and auxiliary belt.
I recently had the LPG serviced and reset at an LPG specialist in South Hempsall Yorkshire. LPG runs great although a little lumpy until engine at working temp but its only really when stationary. Its not an issue at all. Full tank of gas is between 45 and 60 litres depending on air temperature. It does anything between 180 and 270 miles per tank depending on how its driven. (around town on a run). Car starts on petrol and switches over to gas automatically, it also switches to petrol automatically when it runs out of gas. (it does this seamlessly) It can be switched manually as well.

In General
I love this car; I have had it a long time and it hasn’t let me down. I have previously owned a V70 LPG converted Volvo and a Jaguar 3.2 XJ LPG within the last 20 years. I have had it off the road at various times parked on my drive whilst I have used my other cars, most recently off road during covid.
It is basically a fantastic all-round good car. Never driven off road by me, I am the only driver of it in my ownership. It carries everything inside and is so practicable. It has 7 seats all forward facing all with proper seat belts and all comfortable. The rear set of seats fold out of the way and can not be seen. The front seats are heated and it has aircon which is cold. I have now bought a Landrover Freelander which is my replacement car for the Volvo. I am looking for £2200 for the car
If you want a chat or look at the car please do not hesitate to contact me.
Car is located at OL6 9DR. It can be viewed almost anytime by appointment. If you want to drive it you must have insurance.

Good luck with the sale. I must ask though, you replaced this with a freelander?! Why would one do such a thing! 😯 😊
