Default MY24 XC90 controls/infotainment queries

Our third XC90 is now in the pipeline (https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...53#post2936553). I suspect it will be our last as this one is likely to outlast the need for family lugging....T8 Ultimate ordered.

I'm going to have a good Google for manuals and a search on here for answers, but whilst I recover from the shock of the price, thought I'd ask here....
  1. Steering buttons for phone, nav and media control?

It doesn't look like you can use the steering buttons to quickly use the phone, nav and media. Is this correct? (Disappointing if so - I've been using our XC90 in a moan to Porsche about their poor wheel controls!)

You used to be able to use the right hand button that looks like a list. This popped up a little menu that you could then use to choose media source, select the last phone calls made or select last nav locations used.

Any alternative methods, or am I genuinely restricted to yelling at the car like an imbecile?
  2. Source selection via centre screen

On Sensus, when selecting the media bar on the home screen, you could select the last source used down the left side. This was useful for us as we typically went between just two sources (USB and DAB). It seems to have gone though?
  3. Apps

Any recommended apps to get? The kids were excited about seeing 3in worth of YouTube when parked (!)...but anything genuinely useful?

I believe AudioWagon is a good way of playing music from a USB stick?
  4. Seat adjustment

Can you adjust the extendible thigh support from the side controls on the seat?

Any other useful tips, hints, tricks etc?

The Google interface does not look like a leap forward from Sensus to me...but then I quite liked Sensus

Car was noted as likely to take 3-5mths to deliver, so plenty of time to ready myself

1. yup unfortunately voice or centre screen, voice always works in my experience, no need to yell, just push the button and talk to it, great for nav, phone, media, heating controls etc.

steering buttons do light stuff on media like next track and volume.

2. if you swipe the media bar other sources that you use pop up, swipe one way for media controls, the other for sources.

3. I don't really feel the need to use anything other than what is pre installed so can't help here.

4. yes.

Thanks.

I think I'd seen the swipe left/right on one of the videos...I didn't see anything for how the USB stick is used (we typically use DAB and USB mainly), but will keep looking
