Thank you for that ….. loving the fact that no one from Volvo assistance could tell me that including the technical guy on the phone and the French rescue guy who actually had an XC90!

Don't forget to check the tyre pressures especially the space saver in the boot

Wouldn’t it be nice/helpfull if Volvo put a HandbookOwners manual in the glovebox. That would be a novelty
Especially when the battery is flat or there is no signal

I've received my Emovis Tag bills for a trip I did in June/July. Eurotunnel Calais via A26 and A40 to Nangy (20km ESE of Geneva) before heading up the Alps. Cost was €80 each way. No problems with the tag on the heated windscreen.

Total distance driven 1,722 miles using 39.8 gallons of diesel costing £325 and giving an average of 43.2 mpg. Typical speed 65 to75 mph, Pilot Assist on and aircon working hard because of the heat. Happy with the mpg figure considering it includes driving on very steep mountain roads.

At times I tried various options (ECO tyre pressures, 'ordinary' diesel, ECO drive mode) and none of them seemed to make any substantive difference to fuel economy measured over long stretches of Autoroute. Also, ECO tyre pressures don't half spoil the ride; never again.

I downloaded mine onto my IPad which has the advantage that you can use the search function rather than having to read and understand the whole thing.

On the XC90 at least if the battery is flat you can't get into the glove box as the button does not work.......

Problem was the printed manuals were starting to get hefty; last time I had a proper printed manual, for a 2015 V40, the manual was 450 pages long, with a separate 150 page manual for satnav and infotainment.

I'm guessing providing such manuals doesn't fit in with being green.

My S90 had all the manuals in a binder, I was surprised to see them as it's built into the Sensus anyway, even found the original key box and Sport Key, it was "dead Jim" but we had the power to save it.
