Default Discontinued front coil springs - 2003 Volvo S40

If you have ever ordered suspension parts, you would already know that the VIN # is not enough, but you also need the chassis code to get the correct part. In my case, I have a 2003 Volvo S40 with front chassis code 6A, and the corresponding front coil springs part number is 30884194. This part is discontinued, and neither the dealerships I have contacted here in Canada, nor Volvo Canada Customer Service could recommend an alternative.

Those are the front suspension chassis codes for Volvo S40/V40 line produced between 2000 and 2003:
- Comfort: 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A
- Dynamic: 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B
- Sport: 2C, 3C, 4C, 5C
- Overseas Comfort Chassis: 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D

And those are the front coil springs available for those cars with comfort chassis:
1. 30884190 for 2A, 2D
2. 30884191 for 3A, 3D
3. 30884192 for 4A, 4D
4. 30884193 for 5A, 5D (discontinued)
5. 30884194 for 6A, 6D (discontinued)

I was just wondering if anyone could find the above parts' complete specs in terms of dimensions, stiffness, etc. I assume they might have different stiffness, but if the size of any part that is still available would fit inside my struts, I could buy the one with the closest specs.

Both of my front coil springs are cracked and as these parts fail by aging, I don't consider buying them used. Although, if available, I would consider buying a quality after market coil spring confirmed to be compatible with my 6A chassis.

It would be interesting to find out if the sister cars springs are still available and if they are made in Japan (the Mitsubishi Carisma and series 1 Volvo S40 are the same car under the skin) Until recently Japanese manufacturers tended to round off the ends of their coil spring properly which makes fracture failure much, much less likely than square-cut unfinished springs.
