Default The insides of an TF-80SC

Interesting article and even more interesting pictures, including the updated main shaft seals. It's in Russian though! So get your browser to auto-translate. Also, it seems Volvo/Aisin were serious if they said "sealed for life" because to replace the filter, you have to remove and crack the box open.

Thanks for sharing....

I might have a go at this now as I do occasionally still get shift shock, but only when it's really hot (2015MY XC60 146k miles, new TCM software).

What's shift shock?

A few weeks ago on our road-trip, it was rather spicy in Lausanne, around 32-35C and the box started banging into D, but it went away once it was cooler so...

It's just another word for the thud felt through the drivetrain when changing gear (or into gear) - i.e. the jolt.
