Yesterday, I decided that I was going to get to the bottom of it.
Removing the airbox, I found a lot of oil on top of the transmission, and there was even a bit of a puddle in one of the crevices.
There is no oil leaking underneath the car.
I have a few questions:
First, what is causing this oil leak
Second, is it possible to fix this myself (I only have a few hand tools, such as a socket set and torx set.)
Third, is it even worth it to fix?
Fourth, where do I navigate to in Vida2014d to find the repair manual
I look forward to your help.
Happy Easter!
By the way, I have the D5 engine

I recently found a breather pipe had come off on the NSrear of the engine this 'sprayed oil all over- possibly onto the gearbox too.
Maybe a similar easy to sort job for you.
Pipe was simply fixed back on, no more oil!

Sorry not sure how to.
If you take the top engine cover off the pipe is connected to the back of the engine on the passenger side. You will see if it is connected or just waving about.

UPDATE:
I found where the leak was coming from.
Indeed, it was from the vacuum pump.
For me, a newbie at car repairs, it took 6 hours because I didn’t disconnect the air conditioning pipe, which made it quite harder to route the pump around the pipes.
Anyway, after changing the seals and reassembling, I noticed that I had forgotten a screw.
I quickly found where it belonged and when I tried to screw it in, I dropped it and even after removing the under tray and moving the car, I cannot find it.
You can see which screw it is in the photo.
My question is if anyone knows a link to buy this screw or knows the dimensions so that I can order one.
Thanks in advance!

Go to your dealer ... correct screw every time and if not in stock within a day or so.

What’s funny is that it was actually a 10mm screw

Do you think it is worth the hassle for just one screw or should I just use a ziptie?

Personally I would use the correct fastener every time.
