Default Lost in the windscreen vent.

Whilst removing the MicroSD card from my dashcam, it shot across the dashboard and disappeared down one of the windscreen air-vents.
It happened so fast that I didn't see whether it was the larger ones with the speaker surround in the top middle of the windscreen, or the narrow ones where the dash and the windscreen meet.

Car - 2022 V90 Recharge

I've had a good look and cannot see it anywhere and am a 400 mile drive from home and a vacuum to try to suck it out.

2 questions:
Do all the air vents meet in a central point that is easily accessible?
If it does end up working its way somewhere is there a fan it could jam?

Normally would just forget it, but it has images on it from a big European trip I would ideally like to retrieve.

Any help / suggestions welcome

You couldn't make it up !

Maybe try a cheap usb endoscope camera when you get home?

It must be easier, if possible, to retrieve it back out of the vent the way it went in, rather than starting to dismantle dashboard parts.

Good luck with this one !

Please do keep us all informed with the ongoing entertainment !

Thanks. Great idea with the endoscope, although from looking at various air vent diagrams (albeit not V90 ones) it looks like a maze of hard plastic pipes. I think the memory card will slide further in on my journey home.

Back in the 60s I was stopped by the police, it happened often, and he pointed out that I didn't have a tax disc. I had no idea where it had gone so I had to get on to the authorities and get a new one. When winter came I put the heater on full blast to defrost the screen and the tax disc flew out of the vent.

What about some blue tack on the end of a kebab stick and go fishing?
