Mmm I quite like the sound of that dashboard :-)

Bugger, I didnt think about putting a resistor into the wires are the SRS module area. Damn :-)

Im not sure what resistance to use as I cant get a damn reading from the airbag. I was hoping to discover what resistance a working one shows to the replicate it. I have resistors from 1.2 up to 3.3ohms.

Lovely night for a convertible. Been out driving around. I do love a convertible, just something so...open about them.

Sorry, a bit late to the party here, but I seem to recall, that when I had various lecky problems on my money pit C70, I was advised to thoroughly check the CEM (?) under the glove box in the passenger footwell for dirt, corrosion and dampness.

Thanks Baxlin. Ive read that too and checked the CEM for water or any signs of water ingress. I released all the loom connectors, circuit cleaned them and reseated them.

Havent had a repeat of CanBus hell yet.

However, just had a message and a lady wants to pop over and see my car tuesday. Shame, as it's going well at the moment and the weather is lovely.

I plan to sell it and look at a Mercedes E350 Convertible. :-)

That is a symptom of earth wire issue, before spending a lot of money in other stuff try connecting a 3mm minimum copper wire cable and connect from battery minus to engine with the car off and key out of ignition, wait a few minutes and them get key to position 2 of ignition wait a few seconds and start engine, all the gremellins should be gone now , if it subsists go to fuse box on passenger side under the glove box take it out and with electric cleaner spray , clean fuses terminals one by one. And you should be sorted for sure.

Thanks valinetim.

Since dropping my cem and reseating and cleaning connectors I haven't seen the error again. However I will remember this trick if it happens again
