It does seems strange though that there seems to be no way to secure the car if the key fob is not recognised ……. Modern cars!

Random thought - while you are trying to lock the car, do you have another key/remote (maybe in the glovebox or a rack sack in the boot) still in the car that’s causing you car to register the signals from the 2nd/3rd paired key(s)?

******eCall is malfunctioning , SOS Error , Key not detected******

After seeing this old thread titled above in this section also it would appear the OP has had the same problem, temp solutions to get people back otr in both threads by disconnecting one or both of the cars batteries (I believe it's the big one in the boot) and letting a power drain happen should get you mobile again.

Thanks yes all sorted now had to disconnect the main battery and then unplug the backup battery for the TCAM unit to force it to restart …… the classic computer doesn’t work so turn it on and off again solution!
