Is not a replacement, you leave the existing bushes in place and press the inserts into the gaps, it can make the ride harsher as well bear in mind. Easy enough to take out again though

Correct method is to replace the bolts as well as they are stretchies and making sure you get the torque plus additional angle turn right

Typing mistake by me, I saw they were add ons rather than replacements, just having a senior moment!

Not too worried about the harsher ride, the ride is the most comfortable I've experienced to date, certainly way more relaxed than the ride in my BMW 320d M Sport I had before my S60.

true BM's are a harsh ride, compromise for the tight handling I suppose. I lowered one of mine and instantly realised my mistake lol

Try a tube of Wynns power steering stop leak first - it often works.

I’ve heard contradicting comments on using power steering leak stop additives. Some have said it cures their problems, others say that using it does cure the leaky area of the rack, but also accelerates the wear of the other gaskets / seals that are actually ok.

I’ll be trying the subframe bush insert idea first as advised. The leak from the rack is minimal, I haven’t needed to top up power steering fluid in a few months, so I can live with that for now.
