xc40 air con problem

hi i aquired this vehicle a few weeks ago and i really like it however the air con seems to be faulty it starts to get cold then goes off even though the screen shows its on i suspect a thermostat problem, it is under guarantee but just wondered if anyone else had this problem it seemed worse in the hottest conditions thanks for any input

We had this or similar problem on our 2020 - dealer said it was caused by factory overfilling the air con gas from new.
Of course sorted under warranty - been fine since.
