The RB is a 1980 motor car, and this part is for 1981 models onwards - what a pity :-).

They're original though, just look at the wear and tear as that must surely double their value

I just bought two wee NOS trim bits from a guy in Germany. Had to haggle him down to stupid high price rather than a f....... stupid high price. Looking for NOS parts for my 142 and 131, not much available and what is is very expensive at the moment.

Default I know, it is an Amazon...

I know this is the 200 corner and this one is an Amazon, but I thought it might be interesting:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204007622...oAAOSwrmFit0Xf

... a Marmite car, one can only love it or hate it. The seller says it belonged in the VOC community until he bought it a year ago, so perhaps someone here knows of the motor car?

My opinion: I hate it, I think the seller has ruined a perfectly good 52 year old motor car that survived 51 of those years until the butcher got hold of it.

:-)

Agreed. Plenty of Fords about for that sort of thing.

His car , his right , I know, I know!

It does read like the chap bought the Amazon for doing what he has and selling at a profit. It will be interesting to see how much it goes for - clearly more than £7,900 as that has not triggered the reserve. I'm not sure how big the market is for modified Volvos.

Think it's pretty big for Amazons, "volvo hot rod" googles up a sauna load of candyflake 120's and pretty much no 140/240s of any note.

PVs also popular, but far fewer obvs.

Thank you for that BicycleBoy, I had no idea; I'd always assumed that was the Ford Pop domain.

I don't think I'll be fitting air suspension, a V8 motor and undercar lighting to Great Aunt Maud :-).

Alan

PS. I'm not surprised about there being a dearth of 140/240 models in the custom scene. I think our motor cars attract fairly conservative owners that tend towards originality. I'm not sure 240s lend themselves well to even mild customisation such at lowering the springs and fitting much larger wheels.
