Mr. Jennings, who taught mathematics, Latin and classics used an expression, Andrew’s behaviour would be less distressing, in a younger boy.
Any bells? 🛎️🛎️🛎️
Ah, a classics master is always going to have an exceptionally good withering ‘put down’ to express their frustration, in the dreaded school reports😀😀 Cheers Steve
He once asked a first former his name, he replied,” Alcock Sir “. “Mmmmmmmmm, nobody is perfect, “ quipped Mr. Jennings.😀

Any bells? 🛎️🛎️🛎️
I think Steve has had several large Bells already Andrew! Either that or suffering the same as Quasimodo in as much as the balance of his mind is disturbed by external influences! Let me put that in a more "polite" way - there's a fine line between bravery and stupidity, that car takes you over that line!

Quite a nice original 940, might be a member on here?? but a bit odd to buy just this month, a change of heart in not modifying it, and punting it on.
Nice half leather, so you don't burn your proverbials whenever we get some sunshine. I'm an old duffer so prefer the auto, otherwise, probably a nice motor albeit for a wedge of notes. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204746466...Bk9SR_65jPPcYw Cheers Steve |

What a muppet !!! That rather fetching Morris 8 tourer for a bargain price, I posted about a week or so ago, I'd been mulling that one over ever since.
Finally came to my senses and contacted the vendor to arrange a viewing, and of course it's been sold ..... Moral of the day, "I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure" If you see a possible motor for sale, at least go to look at it, then worry about deciding to buy or not. Of course I have left the vendor a request to contact me if the buyer falls through, not unheard of these days it seems. Although one would hope the type of chap wanting a pre-war car wont be a timewasting eBay tyre kicker. Cheers Steve |

Two things that strike me with the ad: 1, why would someone keep an old timing belt? Bizarre! It reminds me of my late father in law. When he changed a tap washer he would keep the old one - when we cleared his effects we found a collection of old used tap washers! 2, I don't 'get' the striping of carpet. Lawns should be striped, carpets, pile brushed in the same direction. It just smacks of trying too hard and over bulling the whole car to get a sale.
