Volvo 240 oxygen sensor
I have a 1990 240 (UK spec) which has a repeating problem. Every 500 miles or so, the Lambda light appears and the car begins to splutter badly. Once the ECU has been cleared (completed by the breakdown service twice now)the car will run like new.
I have replaced the oxygen sensor but this problem still occurs. I am wondering if anyone can tell me either 1) How to clear the fault code on the ECU or 2) Whether anyone might have any suggestions as to why this might be happening. Thank you in anticipation. Lindsay |

RE: Volvo 240 oxygen sensor
I think you will have to read the fault code, and find out what the problem is. Something must be recurring which neeeds to be looked at.

RE: Volvo 240 oxygen sensor
I have managed to get the fault code from the computer which reads fuel starvation. I am just about to replace the fuel filter, but has anyone have any other ideas? Many thanks |
