Another one rolled off the production line here last Saturday.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...8&l=f8d929a1a9 Silver H reg 240GL saloon with 40mm lowering springs and other suspension salvaged from a rusty GLT. Runs nice, albeit loudly as only open down pipe until exhaust gets made up, but very quick and one happy new owner. Now to get back on with my Sports edition GLT estate turbo conversion. |

I've got to say, it is bloody fun surprising people in my 240, I made a skyline driver give me a double take when I let the blowoff purge next to him!
Baaaah tssssh!!

Another one to add to the unofficial production numbers.
1991 240 GL, B230FK, 13c, Chipped ecu and EZK with 7k Rev limit, M47, Early Intercooler, side exit exhaust, lowered 40mm. Makes 5psi of boost below 3300rpm then wastegate has no hope of controlling boost due to bugger all back pressure and runs 16psi. Tis a Nice car, reminds me I must get on with my own Sports Edition 240 estate project sometime......... |

Nice. Is that the one thats been for sale for on freeads or similar for a while, already had the motor fitted but was described as an "easy to finish project"?

Yep it was a bargain considering what had been spent in suspension parts and other new parts that were on it.
Collected it Saturday morning with the trailer, had it running by the afternoon, then it wouldnt run. By Sunday afternoon had prepped the car fixing all the little electrical foibles and the intermittent running that had no douht frustrated the previous owner. My mate then drove it the final 100miles to his house on Monday morning on way to Mot where it passed. He's chuffed to bits with it, he allways regretted selling his 240 turbo we built many moons ago. Last edited by Chesh740R; Feb 25th, 2014 at 16:10. |
