I use ramps with my S60 and they are a little tight under the front end but don't cause any damage. As far as I know they're standard height ones and they came with extenders that clip onto the low end to reduce the slope, I've never used these though. I'm trying to remember where I got them from and I think it might have been Argos or something like that.

Use them with my caravan for which they were designed. Should be OK to take the weight of a car but you need to check the max load they were designed for.

I use Halfords ramps on my S60 and they work fine.

I use steel ramps. They won't fit under the front, so I use 2 lengths of 4" x 2" positioned in front of the ramps, these lift the front of the car by 2" which allows the front of the car to clear the ramps.

I made a set of ramps out of old scaffold board. They lift the front end of the car 8" off the ground, and are absolutely solid. Far better than any steel or plastic ramps imo.

You want extensions, I use them on mine with the generic metal ramps and they work fine.

Those see-saw drive on ramps on garage forecourts have always looked a tempting propositon, until i seen the price of them anyway.

Mind you, a proper 2 post hoist would be nice, if only i knew someone locally who had the right kind of premises and a long held desire to own co-own one,(scratches chin knowingly)
may be in the pipeline for Xmas, they're only a grand!

I invested in a set of low angle ramps, they are about twice the length of standard ramps. Being low angle they are also very easy to drive up, you just have to align them very carefully.

So far I haven't come across a vehicle that they haven't been suitable for, there again I haven't tried them with my Farrari

Just cut a couple of bits of timber 4 x 2 or similar - square at one end, slope/wedge at the other....simples: car goes up on wedges, then onto ramps.
