Default Removing, cleaning and refitting temp sensors

Well, I cleaned my temperature sensors tonight and I have some photos for you all to see.. Not a big job at all. You'll need some jewellers screwdrivers, torx bits and a small box key. The B pillar plastic shroud just pulls off and then the top plastic one too. A white plastic spacer will drop out but just replace it in its runners. Take off the sun visor and then remove the first torx screw from the fan assembly. The second screw is not accessible with a screwdriver but hold the torx bit in a pair of pliers and turn it with that. It will turn only a few times before coming out by hand. Dis-connect the fan assembly from the cabling and then inspect the fan. Unclip the motor assembly from the main body exposing the small temperature sensor. Remove all the debris and check the fan for free movement. I plugged mine back into the connector and checked for flat spots on the motor but it was OK. If you stop the motor while it is turning, the computer will realise this and stop power to the fan to protect it. Turning the ignition on and off will return power to the fan. To get the motor back on the main body you will have to remove the three screws and remove the motor stands as the wires are to short to get it back on. Refit and test. No more flashing leds on the dash!
