Midlands Transport Museum Wythall - Volvo National Gatherin
Dear All,
I just spotted this and thought it could do with some airtime on our forum. VOLVO CAR CLUB NATIONAL GATHERING SUNDAY 4th JUNE It's the big one, the national gathering of Volvo enthusiasts displaying a wide of range of cars from this famous brand. Come and see Simon Templar's famous ST1, The Saint's Volvo P1800, yes the original car! https://wythall.org.uk/eventdays.asp?harrington I plan to go if I can find a way to come back early from Scotland I would assume there is a requirement to buy tickets for the day. |

It is organised by the Volvo Enthusiasts Club - no need to book just turn up on the day.

Just got home from this event. What a superb day! Interesting museum preserving midlands buses and electric delivery vehicles. One bus, in particular, has had a total ground up restoration to Rolls-Royce standards - it was simply faultless. Cost £600,000.
About 40 Volvos were there of all descriptions and the sun shone all day. The icing on the cake was winning the best in class for a P80 with the C70. Unusually it had many complimentary comments.

If you go on Facebook and search for ' Volvo Enthusiasts Club UK and scroll down the page you will find a couple of posts with photos - 64 in all. I think every car there was photographed. Mine is the C70 - the only one there.
