Default City safety problem.

Hi all . I had my Volvo V60 1.6drive 2012 in for a problem with the fuel injector.
A new one was fitted, but after I collected the car the city safe service required notice has come up on the info screen.
My independent garage says I need to take it to a Volvo main dealer.
Having phoned my main dealer they say it’s £75 to diagnose plus any amount depending on the problem.
I’m presuming the mechanic that change the fuel injector has taken the terminals off the battery, as the radio was not how I had it.
Will my car pass its mot with this warning light on, I find the whole city safety feature rather dangerous at times.
I don’t want it.
Is there any way to disable it without losing airbag.
Thanks for any replies.

If I recall from past posts, this problem has been solved by giving the screen a good clean behind the plastic covers I front of the rear view rear mirror. I think someone did mention that this cleaning was apart of one of the service programme.
Personally I find it strange you would want to permanently disable a safety feature, it’s there for a good reason.
