Brand new Phase 2 splitter :D
Hi all.
Got myself a brand new Phase 2 Splitter for £65 with all the fittings and instructions. Was painted in Grey metallic as well. Will be getting it painted soon and will upload some pics of it on. Have a question though, is it made of fiberglass or plastic? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...c#ht_556wt_932

Cheers Alex. I'm assuming it will need sanded and primed and luckily I still have some Hycote grey primer left over and some sand paper

Take your time too, Tom.
No point rushing the prep, or painting. Get it right and it should last for ages. Look forward to seeing the pics when it is fitted. Gary

If you use 1200 wet & dry, have a bar of soap handy and keep rubbing the soap with the wet and dry. It makes it much easier to get a glass like finish and stops the wet and dry clogging up and dragging over the paint.

Also agree with the above. Take your time prepping to avoid problems in the future. Doing mine at the moment too......
By the way Thomas, did you get an installation manual with the splitter? If yes, would you be kind enough to scan it and post it here? Also, with regards to thte fittings etc, could you please spread them out and take a photo of them so other people can get an idea of what is needed to install the splitter on our cars? It would be greatly appreciated...
