Default Volvo C30 1.6D Cutting Out/ Anti Skid Service Required

Hi all, Experiened cutting out issues with my 2009 Volvo C30 1.6D last night

15 miles after putting a full tank of fuel in I set off from a junction and the car juddered and cut out (Almost like a stall) But it wasn't a stall because the Anti Skid Service Required message came on and the Traction Control light.

Restarted the car and then the same thing happened 2 more times straight away from setting off (Thought it was going to be undriveable) Started the car for a 3rd time and managed to drive about half a mile and get up to 30MPH before it then cutting out/juddering 4 more times consecutively.

Then managed to make the 10 mile journey home completely fine. Haven't used the car since but now i'm not sure what to expect when I next take it out

The car was serviced 2 weeks a go by a Volvo specialist and had a new DPF and all the gubbins that goes along with it in February. Car ticked onto 71,000 miles last night and at idle the engine sounds sweet.

It is very odd as the car drove lovely before that happened with no loss of power. It just came out of nowhere

Would appreciate a bit of advise, Thanks

Its your crankshaft position sensor they cost about 14 quid and take 15 mins to put on at the bottom of the engine on a 1.6d

Hi there, just wanted to ask if you found the solution to the problem as I have just had the same problem with my 09 c30 1.6d

Had been driving for a while and the car was up to temperature, turned down a lane and all of a sudden got the anti skid service required on the display and the engine lost power and slowly came to a stop. Tried to crank immediately and it wouldn't start. Then turned the ignition on and off again and the car started, with no messages. Same thing happened again after 30 ft and was now stranded in the middle of the road. Started the car again and drove to a passing point, turned the car off for about 2 minutes, then started it again sat at 1500 rpm for 2 minutes and continued on the rest of the day with no problems

This happened yesterday, drove the car again today and had no problems or message/lights. Have yet to test the battery or try and find any loose wires. Just wondered if anyone had found any other probable solution before I jump into something.

Thanks
