Bypass CD for bluetooth audio
Hi guys,
Really disappointed in the lack of bluetooth audio or an aux on my daughter's c30. Anyway found this... https://www.mr12volt.com/en-gb/produ...-v80-xc90-xc70 Had anyone used it? How does it work? Is it any good? To me it looks lie it sort of bypasses the CD making the car think you're playing a CD while it pushes through the audio from your phone. Anyone advise? |

It appears that the company is based in Hong Kong, so I'd explicitly ask them if MOST security needs to be turned off for this item to work.
The reason is, that when MOST security is enabled, the fibre optic connections are encrypted, and third party devices like this are unable to communicate with the rest of the stereo system (unless they are programmed with the correct encryption keys). Most UK and some western European cars have MOST security enabled by default (allegedly to prevent theft of the stereo), but for a large part of the rest of the world the default setting is disabled, so devices designed and sold in these countries may not be able to work with MOST security enabled. |
