MOT today.....
I took the Volvo for its MOT today - I have to say I was a bit worried as its the first one since I've owned it ( I bought it with a 12 month ticket ) and it passed with flying colours
Sven the MOT man commented about how the car is pretty much mint underneath - a credit to its former owner - and it was a joy to drive. Looks like its a keeper then I did wash it and hoover it out, clean all the glass and interior bits, every little helps, so I'll be happy to invest a bit more time and effort into it knowing its a decent example. The insurance for the year was £141 with a complimentary £20 Halfrauds voucher, so thats a new tyre for my boys bike and some Blackberry touch up paint for me.! I've also splashed out a bit and bought Damo's wheels. so they'll get a coat of outrageous coloured paint too before I fit them. As a bonus, there is a guy down the road in Poole with a 900 up on blocks, possibly a donor car, so it seems I'll try to get hold of him ( or her ) and see what they are doing and can I buy some bits off it Cheers all. Kelv

Great news Kelv, another 12 months to look forward to, always a bit of a relief in getting the first ticket after buying a car.
Also reassuring that it's sound underneath, trouble is I've found is that once I had a new MOT with no advisories, it just led to me buying more bits n pieces to sort little annoyances on the probable futile attempt to get it back to as near as it came out of the factory😀 Good luck and enjoy the drive👍 Cheers Steve |

Nice one, well done. As already said ^^^, the first MoT in your ownership is always a tense event, glad yours flew through.
Re the parts... I haven't even collected my latest 940, but the parts are stacking up in the garage
