So Fuse 19 is not listed in the CEM fuse box list , but it is listed in the REM as the rear wiper, But on the diagrams the rear wiper is shown being fed from F19 in the CEM !
So it may be that fuse F19 in the CEM is actually feeding the rear wiper and the listing as being in the REM is incorrect. I can find no other F19 shown in the diagrams. Having looked at every listing I can find for volvo V70, XC70 fuse boxes and a number of diagrams from different sites they all agree that F34 in the CEM is the washer pump fuse. Yes I was going to suggest that you just put a 15A fuse in position 34 ( you could just use a 5A fuse if you wish for the test, but you might find it will blow with the pump start up current ) and see if the pump will work, as for it falling out unless the fuse was very very loose in the holder I cant see it falling out, have you or anyone else done any work on the car before the washers failed ? |

No work done by anyone other than me since we got the car 6 years ago, the only thing recently in that area was replacing the 12v front and rear output fuse due to a dash cam power plug failing. But that was two weeks ago and the washers have been used since then. I will stick a fuse in and see what happens.
Thanks for your help on this. |

My thanks to XC70Bob and Simmy for their assistance on this. I put a fuse in 34 and all started working. I can only assume that the fuse has dropped out while i have been sorting the micro !5A fuse for the aux 12V sockets at the other end of the CEM (unlikely as it was a tight fit to put in) or I have had a senior moment and removed it and thrown it away for fun. Either way, its now sorted so thanks guys.

Glad you now have this sorted.
Sounds like a senior moment then ( non of us are immune from these ) or you would have found the fuse somewhere is the foot well. Last edited by XC70Bob; Jun 25th, 2022 at 13:39. |
