Would be interesting to run that alongside a brand new ford focus, and see which one lasts longest.

Also, the service history section of that video is incredible....20 years worth of servicing on a car with only 9,000 miles on. You wont see that again unless it's a supercar.

There's no contest!

Default Low mileage V70

My Japan import 2007 came with 6700 miles on it, now 15 years almost with still less than 11,000 miles due to Covid etc. I have no regrets at all and who ever owns this 2002 will have many more years trouble free out of it I am sure.

Lovely car, just a shame the tax is nearly £600 a year!

It wasn't until cars registered after 23rd March 2006 that VED went through the roof so this will not be anywhere near £600, more like £360 per annum

I thought that was so '4x4'. Our 2000 V70 is still in the lower bracket, but I wasn't sure of the precise cut-off date. What I do know is that our '06 Saab convertible does cost that sort of money to tax.

We reconcile it by likening it to the price of a couple of drinks for the two of us once a week at the pub. Although we seldom go out for a drink as such, we do enjoy driving our convertible. That may not make the cost any more palatable, but it does provide a sense of perspective!

It will be interesting to see what the car makes on the block on the day. It will either go through the roof, or be a steal for someone - and I'm not sure which!

Regards, John.

You are mistaken as I sold my 2002 v70 last year due to the tax going from about £320 to £585
