New Volvo owner!
Hi All
Very much a new member here and a first time Volvo owner. However I need a little help.... I bought a D3 XC40 20 plate last weekend. Really like the car. The problems are two errors. - Start/Stop Support battery service required - In reverse I get the message Park Assist System Temporarily Unavailable. I have done around 400 miles in the car since purchase and had the support battery checked this morning - apparently it is fine 71%. Am i missing anything obvious on this? Many Thanks Andy |

Hi Andy.
Did you buy from a Volvo dealership? In my experience the stop / start can stop working if the car has been stood for some time. This seems to be quite common during lockdown. It's a very small battery and I wouldn't have thought 71% charge would be enough. However, I had this problem on an XC60 last year and it went away on its own after a couple of long journeys. Failing that, it may need a new auxiliary battery. Systems that are temporarily unavailable are usually due to blocked sensors (wet leaves etc), but in this case it could be a faulty sensor. You say it's a 20 plate car, so it's still under warranty. If this message continues, your Volvo dealership will sort it.
