Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default Locking wheelnut

Hi might sound stupid but here goes locking wheelnut key knackered number 951 but choice of 2 p or l whats the difference anyone ive no idea,only need to get rear two nuts off and replace with normal ones who pinches alloys now lol. Cheers

volvo locking bolts are not numbered.. I would say all garages and tyre centres have developed methods and tools for getting them off by now.

you mention alloy wheel thefts. I don't think any of us know the statistics, but when each wheel/tyre on a recent volvo can cost £1000 + ( Polestar £1500 + ) A locking bolt is a good idea, and insurance wont pay out if you have removed the locking bolts.

Maybe should have mentioned its only a 2005 v70 got 2 replacement alloys for 70 pounds off ebay so not quite new model prices , agree with you if it was a newer model as insurance would be void without them not worth the risk there. cheers for reply.

The only person locking wheel nuts stop from removing the wheels is the owner of the car

If someone is going to nick your wheels locking nuts is not going to stop them but they will likely be more interested in stealing your cat
