Got myself an 850 GLT

Spent an hour yesterday cleaning the 850 in preparation for taking it to it's first Classic Car Show
Over 600 cars there, only a handful of Volvos, Amazon, 240, 740, V70R, V70 Saloon and only one other 850 which was a T5

Trailing through the mountain of paperwork I received with the 850 I came across the original Warranty Certificates that were supplied with the car when it was delivered new

I've edited out the data for fraud prevention

In 1997 Volvo gave a 12 month warranty with new cars however if you purchased your car through their 'Tourist and Diplomat Sales' programme the warranty lasted for 3 years in certain countries.

Nothing to do with 850s but I thought some of you guys might enjoy reading about my previous Classic car
I built the original website back in 2005/2006 and it was supposed to go with the car when I sold it, but the new owner didn't want it so I kept it online for a few years before pulling the plug. I've been asked by numerous P2 owners if I could reinstate the website so I've been working on it this week

When the light conditions are just right the silver sand colour of the 850 looks just right. Most of the time it just looks silver but the sandy colour pops every once in a while

Park as far away from the entrance as possible

I'm with you on that, 4x4! You'll usually find my car parked just a few spaces beyond yours

My tiny brain will never fathom as to why folks need to get their front bumper literally in the door of the shop I suppose it takes all kinds.

With regards to light conditions...have you tried taking shots really early in the morning and or just at dusk? You'd be surprised at what the camera can pick up in low light conditions.

I used to always park the Rolls in the most out of the way bay, but invariably return to find the ****tiest shed parked next to it - even in a relatively empty car park.
