Gear knob.....

1999 V70 classic. Manual
Does anyone out there know of an alternative gear knob that will fit this model.
Original one has the front bit crack and fall off. Bought a second hand one and the same has happened again. Always on hot days.
I'm guessing it may be a known issue.
I would buy a new one but Volvo want £150 for one.
For an occasional use car I think that's bit steep.
So, I'm open to aftermarket ones two. It's all about what will fit?

I once was told that the gear knobs of the classic S40/V40 will fit.
Perhaps it is worth looking that way?

I've no idea if they will fit, they do look very different. Be aware though that different gear knobs were fitted depending on whether a Renault or Volvo gearbox was fitted and the Renault type will definitely NOT fit.

I swapped the grey plastic one on my 1999 for the wooden effect one from the S80 MK1 as shown in the attached picture.

Though I have never seen one split/fall off - maybe unlucky?

From what I can tell, any P2 manual gear knob option will fit the later P80 models so that might make it easier to find something.
