Default DVLA numberplates

I must be bored, scanning the DVLA niumberplate auctions...
Although not as epic as the 850 VOL offering (850/v70 forum alerted), there's the following that look cheap (especially if your name is Ian):
VLV 14N
V020 LVO

Spend your beans here:

If it doesn't spell the actual word it seems a bit pointless. I mean, what's a VOL or a VLV? And ive never heard of VO20LVO.

Something like BMW335D, fair enough, but a few random letters from the name of a car manufacturer just smacks of desperation.

Always go straight to DVLA before looking elsewhere

Lots of these companies just list the DVLA ones with a markup

And given you can now do it all online and not at a DVLA office then there is no benefit.

As for stuff not looking like the actual words - sigh

So on my cars I have and have had

M 6AXO on a Citroen Saxo

M6F GC on my wife’s MGF (her initials are GC)

H4LVD on my Smart Fortwo

BR04BUS on my BRABUS

O C02 PUG on my electric Peugeot

All of them cost me £250 from DVLA

THE BRABUS one I declined an offer of £3k for

It’s all personal choice

From the above I like the 850 VOL and the VO20LVO - defo looks like volvo

JJ

Benefits of lateral thinking...

No subtlety on this one though:
VAN 606H
https://dvlatimedauction.co.uk/auction/B246/VAN606H
Going to end up on some art dealer's Roller, no doubt.

Love some of those plates.

I've only got one, which is on retention as I don't have anything 'new' enough for it at the moment: T80O CS (T80 OCS)

If you get the reference - well done.
