2006 XC90 V8 question
Hi I just bought a 2006 Volvo XC90 106,000 miles. Runs great. I notice that when I start out on acceleration or anytime I press down on the gas pedal, the sound of the engine drops to a low growl then levels off. Reminds me of a big muscle car with a 4 barrel carb when you punch it. Anyone know why it's doing that? I never had a volvo before so I don't know if that s normal or not
Thanks Erick

I think it's normal... I believe its the induction roar and when you open the throttle, it become more prominent. You don't get it on 99.5% of other XC90 as they are turbocharged and the turbo silences the induction roar.
