Default XC70 cross-country 2002 shock absorber

I recently changed my front driver side shock, the supplier gave me a anschler shock. After it was fitted I noticed it was banging when going over some bumps and dips in the road, I also noticed the gap between the arch and the wheel was now smaller on the driver side so I'm assuming that the part is wrong for the car and having trouble trying to find out what shock will be right. If anybody can help me I would be grateful.

Shocks should really be changed in pairs.

Yep, only ever change suspension components in pairs and use Vida for the part number or cross reference from the part number on the original shock.
A decent parts supplier should also have a suitable system for sourcing the correct parts. They're the ones taking your money after all.

Vida is the Volvo workshop and parts catalogue software with the official Volvo parts numbers for your precise chassis details. With the official part number, you can soon cross reference alternatives.
There can be a confusing number of possibilities particularly with suspension components so a good reference system or using the old part numbers from removed components is one of the very few ways to get the correct part.

If you feel you have the incorrect part, your first contact is the parts supplier.

This is the best I've got for a part number.
On the passenger side front shock it has - left F101441 or
0 83 3 608

Also online I keep seeing (p2,295) I dont know what this means?

I suspect you’ve replaced a Nivomat shocker with a regular one.
