Question XC40 BEV Recharge faulty AntiSkid

Hi,

Volvo have had my 71plate BEV recharge since 12 May after it started flagging up a fault with the antiskid system whenever the car was creeping and wheels turned to the right. Volvo have tried resetting software 3 times and have changed the speed sensor wiring loom for the near side. The car is now running software 2.9 and was running 2.7 previously.

Anyone else having this issue? I keep being told it’s the system arming itself- but why? Why is it flashing which according to the manual is a fault, why does it only happen when the steering wheel is turn right? Why are all other Volvos not doing it at the garage? I think it’s hardware at fault and I’m my very simple mind there are essentially three components - the sensor on the wheel, the loom and the ‘brain’. If the cable hasn’t worked then it has to be one of the other elements causing a spurious fault.

Volvo have had the car almost 50% of the time I have owned it now and I’m starting to get incredibly frustrated. The dealer I bought the car from have been saying for over a week they want it to fix (it’s at my local main dealer and has been from the start) but they are making no effort to get it to them. I’ve given the sullying dealer until 12 Jun to have it fixed or it’s being returned for a refund.
