Hi All,

i have just bought a v70 after having a s70 for years and on the way home i was in cruise doing 60mph and put my foot down to over take and i lost power, when i pulled over i had the rev counter going up and down with the engine service urgent. the aa came out an hour later and the car was fine.. the aa man put it on the pc and it came up with fault code p1610, i set off on my journey and broke down 50 mins later over taking again. turned engine off and waited 5 mins and it started ok but the error message stayed up.. i got home and now im wondering what could be wrong.. the car is a 2001 2.4 se with 117k on clock with fsh.. please some one help me

I believe that P1610 is related to the throttle module. Check through your service history and see if this has been dealt with sometime during it's life. You can search ETM or Electronic Throttle Module on this forum for more details.
