I have the HUD and can't even see it so next time I'll spec the heated screen instead.

I've chosen a high seat position over being able to see the HUD which is ridiculous.

It only has a limited range of adjustment - not enough for me either.

A higher seating position is one of the advantages of a SUV.
Why should I have to sit lower than I would like just so I can conform to a poor design feature, which Volvo have refused to do anything about despite the issue having been raised years ago.

A person's height does not seen to be the problem. Put the seat up to a higher setting and then tell us if you can see the HUD properly. I can't.

I can see the shadow of the plastic housing in the reflection and it just doesn't work.

I suspect it also depends on the type of car - V90 for yourself versus XC90 for TheDufster.

If a person's head is brushing the liner, does it matter whether they are 10ft tall with the seat down low, or 5ft tall with the seat racked right up?

In theory, no, but a 5ft person would be sat considerably closer to the windscreen than the taller person (shorter arms), so the viewing angle would be very different.

I'll be able to say soon enough.

Heated screen on current XC60

Heads-up display on V60 I'm picking up soon.

Apparently though, the new Volvo app allows me to pre-heat the car anyway? (I thought you had to have the auxiliary heater for this, but they said you can set it to warm the car up before you get in?)
