Default changing headlight covers

so i have a phase 1 with distorted plastic covers. Would the clear covers fit on the headlight and would it effect the light beam as i assume the originals are distorted/patterned for a reason.

Hi

It's the patterning in the glass that gives the correct headlight beam - you couldn't just change over to clear glass or you'll just have a "random light".

The beam pattern in the later headlights with the clear glass is created by the structure around the bulbs and the shape of the reflectors - Ph 1 doesn't have all that.

So you definitely need the Ph1 patterned glass.

Your alternative, of course, is to look at swapping over your entire headlights - plenty of posts on here about doing that and the later lights are much better.
