Default PV for sale

Hi Folks!

444 upprated to 544 / Amazon spec Volvo approved !

It eats my hart out but i have to bite the bullet and 'smalify' my car collection (my maroon original spec PV -53 demand too much attention and space) - prefer to offer it here first before E-baying it and so on. . .

It is a It is a PV 444D 1952-53 - the best looking PV body with the split rear screen and lower front screen.

It is completely sound in the body work: new sills & wings and a re-spray 1985, untouched since and still very good with a v nice sheen . (one dent and a cople of penny sized blisters thats all)

The interior still has it's 'sexy' tartan red vinyl seat (& door card) covers fitted by Volvo when it was new – seats firm and fine so the upholstery should be like new under. Carped though instead of the rubber mats. the sun visor is Volvo original accessory.

At the time (1985) the complete drive train was updated to later 544/ Amazon spec from front to back: Larger rad, B18 (single carb but with free flow man & 2” exhaust), Later (stronger) front axle, 4sp fully sync gearbox, higher geared and more stable rear axle, gas shocks, 12V, Volvo alternator, 122s disks & 5.5” Mustang wheels.

Wearing In my opinion the best thing is that it has been mot’ed and used all the time since the works was done so tried and tested - it is exactly as good (or bad) as it stands - so no surprises lurking when the 'new restoration' ‘wears off’ as in many cases in my experience.

Pretty nippy, 100% starter & a very everyday drivable car.

Currently the reg is Swedish (v long Sw mot left) but I will naturally reg it here.

Please look at my album for pix

Cheers Fred

Sorry forgot to add; my price idea is £ 5K which I know that one will struggle to find a better one for even in Sweden.
