Where are all the XC90s ?

I'm due to take delivery of an XC90 next week. For the past couple of months I've been keeping a sharp eye open on the roads around me and I'm amazed at how few XC90s I've spotted. Are there really so few of them, or are they just very inconspicuous? (yeah, right, I know, an 'inconspicuous' two-and-a-half tonne car standing nearly 2m tall, right.)

The odd one, very rare around here. Possibly more as you get near a main dealer but they will be Sales Managers!

parked by waitrose,
stalled in middle of road near a school to protect mummys little darling from the traffic problems that mummy creates,
occasionally on dry grass watching a horse or dinghy event,
never towing a trailer out of a ploughed field

I'm typically driving in Cheshire and South Manchester area, and there are plenty of X5s, Range Rovers, Q7s and others. I'd've thought this had to be prime XC90 market territory if it was to have any success.

It is early days , say each dealer has sold 30 so far .. that's about 3000 on the road all over the country , Highly unlikely to spot one in a day , I have only seen 2 different ones running around on the road so far .
OH and it already has success by the way .. Just like the original in 2002 .

I have seen one parked in a drive when I was walking the dog. Haven't seen any others and I am in Greater London.

Filling up with diesel in plymouth and caught a fleeting glimpse of a silver one going past garage but thats the only one I've seen on the road so far.

well they are around but very exclusive :-) You don't see that many old XC90 do you ..

I see loads of the first gen XC90s. 95% of them D5s, as we would expect in the UK .

Do round here, normal to see half a dozen in the local supermarket car park. Four or five in our village. Very rare to take a journey and not see several.

But also seen plenty of new XC90's, obviously not in the same quantities yet.
